Support Us

Support us NOW and contribute to protection of the globally significant Ediacaran fossils of the Flinders Ranges.
There will be very little the Foundation can achieve without the support of many people; this support will be critical to the long-term success of our vision for Nilpena.

We acknowledge with deep gratitude the support of our founding donors in sharing our vision. Their donations have enabled the Foundation to commence the first stage in preserving the Ediacara fossils at Nilpena.

“As a firm of commercial lawyers founded and based in South Australia, we are delighted to provide continuing support to a Foundation which is dedicated to protecting and promoting the unique and iconic Ediacaran fossil deposits in the Flinders Ranges, the first complex life forms on earth and ground zero for the recently declared Ediacaran geological era.”
Brett Cowell, Chairman

“Freerange work every day to support amazing cultural and cause initiatives in South Australia. We’re honoured to be involved in this important mission of preserving the unique history of our state and sharing it with the world.”
Nick Crowther, Managing Director

“It is my privilege to have provided photographic support to the Foundation as it celebrated several important events at the Nilpena fossil site. I found myself immediately connected to the Ediacaran story and hope my photographs interpret the emotive and global significance for all viewers”.
James Fitzroy

“Visualcom is a South Australian based Company established in 1998 providing award winning printing and signage solutions. A privilege to support the Foundation as it initiates a dynamic strategic vision for conservation of the globally significant Nilpena fossil site in the Flinders Ranges”.
Adam Ross, General Manager

“We are delighted to support the Foundation and how appropriate that our Funisia Sparkling was raised to toast several recent significant events. Our support will continue through donating a percentage of all wines sales (Funisia Sparkling, Dickinsonia Riesling, Spriggina Shiraz) to the Foundation’s conservation stewardship of the Nilpena fossil site.”
John Weeks

Thank you!

The Foundation is highly appreciative of the support from, and involvement by, Ross and Jane Fargher of Nilpena Station and the iconic Prairie Hotel, including their commitment to donating to the Foundation $25 per person from all of their Nilpena fossil site tour bookings.

Fundraising Campaign

We all share this planet which also means we should share in the responsibility to protect its joy, beauty and wonder.

Your gift today will help the Foundation do just that.

We invite you to support our 2019/2020 Campaign with the goal of raising $500,000 by 30 June 2020.

“South Australia is custodian of fossil evidence of some of the most stunning ancient life forms on the planet. So important is this record that the geologic epoch when they originated is named after the Ediacara formations in the Flinders Ranges. The Foundation is to be applauded in their efforts to raise awareness of this legacy and preserve these important sites.”

Dr. Andrew Thomas AO, Retired NASA astronaut and first Australian in space.

The campaign focus is to facilitate the restoration of an historic pastoral building on the Nilpena site – the Blacksmiths Shop – to create an immersive interpretive centre for equitable visitor access and educational engagement.

It will also house one of the most important fossil beds found at Nilpena, that of Alice’s Restaurant Bed.

All donations over $2 will be tax deductible

Initial concepts for the conversion of the Blacksmith’s Shop into a contemporary presentation and dynamic engagement centre as supported by the 2019/2020 Fundraising Campaign.

“The South Australian Government is proud to be working with the Foundation to ensure our Ediacaran fossils are protected and their wonders shared with the world. Through a new approach to philanthropy we can do something special together and I urge you to be part of this exciting future.”

The Honorable Stephen Marshall Premier of South Australia
