Flinders Ranges fossils documented for World Heritage listing bid

Palaeontologists are working under the outback sun to document fossils in the Flinders Ranges, as part of efforts to get the region onto the World Heritage list.

Scientist Jim Gehling said the Ediacaran fossils at remote Nilpena Station were believed to be more than half-a-billion years old.
