Two new fossils from the Flinders Ranges have been named after famous faces widely known as friends of science, with both soft-bodied animals having lived in the Inland Sea more than 540 million years ago.
The ear-shaped Obamus coronatus has been named after former US President Barack Obama, and Attenborites janeae, named after Sir David Attenborough.
